Henry H12 Provider Rifle
The Henry H12 Provider Rifle represents a carefully engineered lever-action platform from Henry Repeating Arms, chambered to accept both .357 Magnum and .38 Special cartridges, with an additional model variant available in .44 Magnum and .44 Special. This rifle is designed for shooters who require a reliable, fast-handling firearm for ranch work, range use, or personal defense applications. The H12 Provider combines traditional lever-action ergonomics with modern manufacturing precision, offering a balance of weight, balance, and caliber versatility that distinguishes it within the lever-action category.
Overview
The Henry H12 Provider Rifle is built around a side-gate loading system, allowing the shooter to load cartridges individually through a port on the receiver without removing the tubular magazine. This feature eliminates the need to cycle the action during reloads, maintaining readiness during sustained shooting. The rifle features a 12-round tubular magazine capacity in .357 Magnum configurations, providing substantial firepower for a lever-action design. The receiver is constructed from steel with a blued finish, and the stock is crafted from American walnut with a satin finish, offering durability and traditional aesthetics. The 16.5-inch barrel with a 1:16 twist rate is optimized for both .357 Magnum and .38 Special ammunition, delivering consistent accuracy across a range of bullet weights.

Who It’s For
The Henry H12 Provider Rifle is best suited for the practical shooter who values caliber flexibility and duty-grade reliability. It is an appropriate choice for the rancher or property owner who needs a compact, fast-handling rifle for predator control or general utility work. The .357 Magnum and .38 Special compatibility makes it an ideal companion to a revolver in the same caliber, simplifying ammunition logistics for handgun and rifle users. It also serves the sport shooter who trains with lever-action rifles for competition or recreational target shooting, as the side-gate loading enables faster stage reloads. The H12 Provider is not a lightweight plinker but a functional tool for those who prioritize mechanical reliability and caliber versatility over novelty features.
